Immune System

Nature has many “immune boosters” - foods and nutrients that help support the immune system. First, it is very important to STOP putting poisons into your body and to work on getting the poisons in your body out!

Avoiding dairy products can be helpful. Dairy can create a mucous environment that can be a breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, parasites, etc.

Drink lots of water with lemon to keep your liver clean. In addition, you can get herbal support from garlic, astragalus, elderberry, echinacea, goldenseal, etc.

If you have been on antibiotics, you must restore your colony of friendly bacteria with an acidophilus supplement. Zinc lozenges help to stop bacteria from entering your body. A product called Oscillococcinum is very helpful when used at the first signs of flu.

Colostrum, the first mother’s milk taken from organically-raised dairy cows, has been extremely helpful, even against nasty bacteria, such as MRSA. For a severely compromised immune system, I suggest Thymuplex by Enzymatic Therapy. I have never known it to fail to help rebuild a weakened immune system.
