Cleansing and Detoxification

I am very often asked about the best ways to clean and detoxify our bodies. Many of us are carrying large amounts of stored waste material, and it is a good idea to remove it from the body.

Staying away from processed food is the best way to avoid toxic build-up. Whole natural grains, beans, vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts are filled with all of the natural fibers, enzymes, pectins and beneficial fats that your body needs to aid in digestion and elimination.

Also, it is critical to stay well hydrated by drinking lots of water. Adding lemon will assist in detoxifying your liver. There are many great cleansing products on the market. Some of our favorites are from a company called Renew Life, offering a full spectrum of cleansing products of all types and potencies. Again, your diet is extremely important. Avoid all white flour and all refined sugar. Hydrogenated and partially-hydrogenated fats are similar to plastic, and will clog your arteries, so be sure to avoid all of them, as well as high fructose corn syrup.

When cleansing it is important to begin slowly and gradually to avoid any discomfort.
