Healthy Blood Pressure
So many Americans suffer from high blood pressure. Diet and lifestyle are the primary culprits here. I am a vegetarian and have been for 30 years, but I realize many people eat meat, so my advice is to eat LESS meat, avoiding red meat and processed meats.
Add lots of dark colored veggies and fruits, drink lots of water, and add lemon to help cleanse mucous and detoxify your liver. Eat beans - they help keep your arteries clean. Combine them with whole grains and vegetables.
It is extremely important to reduce sodium and the best way to do that is to eat only natural, unprocessed foods. Some people complain that these foods taste bland. The reason for this is that our taste buds become coated with artificial flavors, artificial colors, fake plastic hydrogenated fats, msg and other flavor enhancers which are added to processed foods to trick our taste buds into telling our brains that we want to eat more. It is a hoax promoted by the food manufacturers, designed to addict us to unhealthy food.
It is very important to seize control of what you put into your body and the bodies of those that you love. Some of my favorite foods and supplements for blood pressure are garlic, coQ10, magnesium with calcium, valerian root, hawthorn berries and cayenne pepper. I also believe in the power of omega 3 fats, as well as olive oil and flax oil. Drink plenty of water, get regular exercise, work on stress reduction and, again, avoid salt.
