Digestion

There are many effective natural helpers for gas, heartburn and other digestive disorders.

First, you must take a serious look at what you are eating. The typical American diet is sooo overly processed that the very fats, enzymes and fibers essential for proper digestion have been removed, and then the food is adulterated with artificial flavors, colors and preservatives. It’s no wonder that we can’t digest, absorb or eliminate these fake imitations of the foods that Mother Nature is trying to provide.

My first suggestion is that a digestive enzyme be taken with each meal. I like lots of acidophilus in the form of plain yogurt or a supplement. My favorite is “Pearls” by Enzymatic Therapy.

Ginger helps to alleviate gas and nausea. Chamomile works as a natural antispasmodic for the stomach and mint aids in the general digestive process.

Raw apple cider vinegar with raw local honey helps to establish a good pH balance.

I use aloe vera juice to soothe irritation and balance acid.

Drink lots of clean water and practice deep breathing. Add lemon to detoxify your liver.

Green drinks, such as barley, alfalfa, wheat grass, etc., add essential enzymes and rid the body of toxins.

Eat small meals and chew completely before swallowing.
